We run this milk business out of Vita, specifically near the New Water Tank area. It’s a family-style setup, really. Pravin Gaikwad handles a lot of the day-to-day stuff at our location on 329/1. Being in the Sangli district, dairy is a big part of life here. We deal with fresh milk and various milk products every single morning. The day starts way before the sun is up because the milk doesn't wait for anyone. It’s a lot of heavy lifting with the cans and making sure everything stays cold and clean. We don't have a corporate office with leather chairs. Usually, we're just standing around the loading area or checking the equipment. There’s always a bit of a rush in the mornings when the deliveries go out. Sometimes the trucks are late or a cooler needs fixing, and those days are a bit stressful. But we’ve lived in Vita for a long time, so we know our way around the problems. It’s not a glamorous job, and our clothes usually smell a bit like the dairy by the end of the shift. We just want to get the products out to the local shops without any fuss. It is a plain, hard-working operation and we like it that way. Everyone around the neighborhood knows the Gaikwad name and where we keep the trucks parked.
