Porwal Irrigators

Porwal Irrigators is located at A- 6 in the M.I.D.C. area of Urun Islampur. We are tucked right behind the Rajarambapu Milk Factory, so you can often smell the dairy in the air when the wind blows the right way. Our yard is usually full of pipes and irrigation fittings. It’s a bit messy, but we know where everything is. We started out small and stayed that way because we like knowing our customers by name. The floor is concrete and there’s usually some mud tracked in from the fields. We don't wear suits here. Most days it’s just work clothes and boots because we’re out moving equipment around. The sun gets pretty hot in this part of Maharashtra, so we start early in the morning to get the heavy lifting done before noon. We aren't much for fancy technology; a lot of our notes are still written in ledger books. It’s a practical business for practical people. When farmers come in, we sit down and talk about the weather and the crops before getting down to what they need. There’s a small desk in the corner for the paperwork, but most of the real work happens out in the back. We just do our best to make sure everything we sell actually works like it should for the people using it.
