Pawan Arts & Fibers

Our workshop, Pawan Arts & Fibers, is right at Azad Chowk on the St Stand Road in Islampur. It’s a busy corner of Walva, and we get a lot of people coming by from the bus stand nearby. The place is more of a workshop than an office, so there’s always a bit of a mess. You’ll find scraps of fiber, cans of paint, and various tools spread out across the worktables. We don’t have a separate area for customers; you just walk right into where the work is happening. The building has these big windows that let in some light, but it still gets a bit dusty when we’re working on the fibers. We’ve been here for a good while, and we know most of the people who walk past our door every day. We don’t use any marketing talk or have a polished image. It’s just us in our work clothes, getting things made. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps for a bit when the sun starts to go down. The work can be a bit heavy at times, but we’re used to it. We keep a notebook on the main desk to keep track of what needs to be done next. It’s a very local, down-to-earth kind of place. We don’t have any big goals other than finishing the projects we have on hand and keeping the shop running. It’s honest work in a busy part of Sangli.
