Patil Hospital

Our hospital is located in Sadar Bazar in Satara, which is a very busy part of the city. We are actually quite close to the Civil Hospital, so this whole area is always full of people looking for medical help. Sadar Bazar is known for its shops and the general rush of daily life. Our building is a bit older and fits right in with the rest of the street. Inside, things are kept plain and simple. We have a small area for registration and then a few rooms where we see patients throughout the day. We don't have a big marketing budget or any glossy brochures to hand out. Most people find us through word of mouth or just because they were walking through the bazaar and saw our entrance. It’s a lot of hard work, especially on market days when the streets are packed and it’s hard to even get a rickshaw to the door. We see a lot of local families who have been coming to us for a long time. The atmosphere is very informal here. We know most people by their first names and we ask about their kids and their work. It’s just the way things are done here in Satara. We focus on the daily tasks and don't worry about being the flashiest place around. It’s a modest hospital with a lot of history in the walls. We just keep the doors open for those who need us.
