Omkar Industries

We are over at 13-B, right near Khadilkar Chowk by the Datta Mandir. It’s a well-known landmark, so it’s easy for people to find us. Omkar Industries is a small industrial setup. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a long time now. The building is an older one, and it has some character, you could say. We have a few machines that stay busy most of the day. It can get quite loud inside when everything is running at once. We don't have a fancy reception area. Usually, if someone comes by, they just walk into the main work area and find one of us. We do metal work and some fabrication. It’s dusty and oily work, so we don't wear suits. We just wear what’s comfortable and safe for the shop floor. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed put. We know the other shop owners around Datta Mandir and Khadilkar Chowk. Sometimes we help each other out with tools or supplies when someone is in a bind. We don't do much in the way of marketing or fancy brochures. Most of our work comes from people who know us or from other businesses nearby that need something specific made. We just try to make things that last. It's a simple life and a simple business. We close up around six most days and head home to our families. It’s not a bad way to spend the day.
