We are located out in the MIDC area. It is exactly what you would expect from an industrial zone. There are trucks everywhere, the roads are a bit bumpy, and there is always some construction or repair work happening nearby. Our building is a plain concrete structure that doesn't stand out much. Inside, it’s all business. We have the workshop area and a small office section where we handle the billing and phone calls. It gets quite dusty because of all the factories around us, so we are always wiping down the desks. The noise of the machinery is something you just get used to after the first week. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and maybe a clock that’s five minutes fast. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten at the main table. We deal with industrial supplies and parts, so the atmosphere is very practical. People come in with technical questions or looking for specific components. We aren't the type to use big words or give long presentations. We just look at what’s needed and see if we can provide it. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, especially during the summer when the tin roof makes things pretty warm. But we like the grit of the MIDC and being part of the production cycle. It feels like real work.
