Kalpataru

Our place is Kalpataru, located right in Sonai, over in the Newasa Taluka part of Ahmednagar. Being out here means we deal with a lot of local folks from the district. It’s a quiet area mostly, though things pick up when the season changes. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit, but it serves its purpose. Inside, it’s mostly just a few of us trying to keep the logs updated and answering whatever questions people have when they drop by. There’s always a bit of mud on the porch during the monsoon, and we’re constantly sweeping it out. We don’t do things in a flashy way. We just show up every morning, unlock the doors, and get to whatever needs doing that day. Ahmednagar is home, so we know the people and the way things work around here. If someone needs something, they usually just stop in instead of calling. We have a lot of old ledgers sitting around and some tools in the back. It’s a simple setup. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just this physical location where the work actually happens. Every day is different, but the goal is always just to finish the list of tasks before heading home. It’s honest work and we like the community here in Sonai.
