G S Shedji & Sons

We operate out of 21, New Timber Area. Our place is 943, right opposite the Industrial Zone in Miraz. G S Shedji & Sons has been around this area for a good bit of time. It’s a family name, as you can tell. The shop is filled with the smell of wood and dust most of the time. We don't have a big showroom or anything like that. People come to us when they need specific timber or wood products. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the stacks of wood piled up. We try to keep it organized, but when a big shipment comes in, things get a bit crowded for a few days. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just take the orders and get the wood ready. The machines can be loud, so we usually have to shout a bit to hear each other. Being near the Industrial Zone means there is always traffic and trucks moving about. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s where the work is. We’ve got a few workers who have been with us for years. They know the wood better than anyone. We just keep our heads down and do the job. If you’re looking for us, look for the pile of logs near the entrance. We are usually there from dawn until it gets dark. It's simple work but it keeps us all fed and occupied.
