D.B.M.

Down here in Khanapur, we go by D.B.M. We are situated in the Sangli district, and the pin code is 415307. It is a rural kind of place, very different from the noise of the big cities. Our office is more like a small shop or a room at the front of a building. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the locals who pass by. The pace is slower here, and we like it that way. We have a few ledgers, a calculator that’s seen better days, and some wooden benches for when people come in to talk. There is usually a bit of dust coming in from the road, and the sound of tractors is pretty common. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. We just do our work and keep our records in order. Most of us grew up around here, so we know the families and the land pretty well. Sangli is a good place to be, even if it gets really hot in the summer months. We just keep the water pot full and get through the day's tasks. It’s not complicated work, but it needs to be done right. People know where to find us if they need anything. We just open up in the morning, do what needs doing, and close up when the sun starts to go down.
