This is our base in Walwa, specifically over in Islampur. It is a quiet kind of place compared to the big cities but we stay busy enough. People around here know us by name because we have been working in this Taluka for years. Our setup is simple and we do not go in for anything flashy. We deal with the day-to-day needs of the local folks here. Islampur has a certain rhythm to it and we follow that. Whether it is morning or evening, there is always someone coming by with a question or needing some help. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just talking to people who walk through the door. The office is just a plain room with the essentials. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. Sometimes we have to travel around the Walwa area to get things done. The roads are familiar to us and we know the shortcuts. It is honest work and it keeps us connected to the community. We see the seasons change through our window, from the hot summers to the muddy monsoons. It is a steady life and we are happy to be a part of the local fabric here. Not much changes, but that is fine with us as long as the work gets done and our neighbors are satisfied with what we do.
