Atelier 3D Services

Out here in the Midc Industrial Area in Miraj, Maharashtra, India, things are usually pretty noisy with all the other factories around. We set up Atelier 3D Services to handle the technical side of things, specifically the 3D work that people in this part of the region need. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where the machines are kept and the computers are running most of the time. We spend our days looking at files and making sure the output comes out right. It’s a bit different from the heavy manufacturing you see elsewhere in Midc, but we still deal with the same dusty roads and power cuts that everyone else deals with. Sometimes the heat gets to the equipment, so we have to keep an eye on that. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to run the software and fix the printers when they act up, which they do more often than we’d like. Working in Miraj has its own pace. We get orders from local businesses and sometimes from further away, but mostly it's just about getting the job done and moving to the next one. It’s a lot of sitting and checking details, then waiting for the machines to finish their cycles. We usually grab tea from the stall down the road while we wait for the prints to cool down. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and pays the bills every month.
