It’s a nice enough building, though it’s seen better days and needs a fresh coat of paint. Adiarihant Mutual Benifit Nidhi Limited is what we call the business, but to most people around Sangli, we’re just the folks in the bungalow. We have a lot of space inside, which is nice because it doesn't get too cramped when a few people come in at once. There’s a big tree outside that provides some shade for the motorcycles. We’ve been here for a bit, and we’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the years. Inside, we have some old wooden desks and a computer that’s a little slow but still works for what we need. We don't bother with much decoration. A few calendars and maybe a photo or two on the wall is all we need to feel at home. It’s a very straightforward place. People come in to talk about their savings or ask about a small loan, and we just give it to them straight. No corporate talk or confusing terms that nobody understands. We like the fact that our neighbors trust us. Sometimes the gate squeaks when you open it, but we haven't gotten around to oiling it yet. It’s a busy life, but it’s a good one.
