Saimaa Exports

Our office is right in the middle of Market Yard. It is a very loud and busy place, full of big trucks and people moving crates around from early in the morning until late at night. Saimaa Exports has been tucked away in this corner for a long time. The dust from the yard seems to get everywhere, so we are constantly wiping down the desks and the computers. It’s just an honest way for us to make a living, dealing with exports and making sure everything is packed up the right way. We don’t have a fancy reception area or a place for people to wait. Usually, folks just walk right in, we talk about the business that needs doing, and then they head back out into the yard. Being located in Market Yard means you have to be ready for just about anything. Some days the traffic is so thick that you can barely get through the front door. We keep the kettle going for most of the day because the work never really seems to stop around here. It is a bit chaotic, but I think we’ve grown to like it that way over the years. We aren't trying to be some massive international corporation, just a small crew of people getting things moved from one place to another. You learn a lot about having patience when you work in a spot like this. It’s just a regular office in a very busy market.
