Our shop is at No.123, right across from the Garden Family Dhaba in Zahirabad. It’s a good spot because people can grab a bite while we deal with their tyres. Apollo Tyre is what the sign says, and that’s what we do. We have stacks of rubber everywhere. It smells like a garage, which I guess is what it is. The ground is usually dusty because of the trucks coming in and out of Zahirabad. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting lounge with magazines. Usually, people just stand around or sit on a spare rim while they wait. We handle the heavy lifting ourselves. It’s hard work on the back sometimes, but we’re used to it. The heat gets a bit much in the middle of the day, so we take breaks under the shade of the awning. We’ve been at this location for a while now. Most of us grew up not too far from here. We aren't trying to be anything special, just a place to get your tyres sorted. If the Dhaba is busy, the street gets crowded with parked cars, making it a bit tight to get into our lot. We just keep our heads down and work through the pile of work. It’s a messy job, but someone has to do it. That’s life here at No.123. The dogs from down the street usually hang out near our gate in the evenings.
