We’ve been here in Medak for a while now. The school is right on the main stretch of the road. Most mornings start pretty early when the yellow buses pull in and the kids start running around the yard. It gets loud quickly, but that’s just how it is with a building full of students. We have a lot of local families from the surrounding villages sending their children here. The teachers are mostly from around this area too, so everyone usually knows each other by name. It’s not a fancy place, but we keep the classrooms tidy and the grounds are mostly green if it’s rained lately. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoons when it gets hot, but the kids just keep working by the open windows. We spend a lot of time on the basics. Reading, math, and social studies take up most of the school day. During lunch, the playground is a mess of soccer games and kids swapping snacks from their tiffin boxes. We try to make sure everyone stays on track with their studies. Medak 502110 is where we are located. It’s a quiet town for the most part, except for when school lets out and the streets get busy with cycles and rickshaws. We don’t have a lot of big slogans or missions. We just show up, open the gates, and get to work teaching the syllabus. It’s a simple routine that works for us and the parents who live nearby. Mostly it is just the daily grind of lessons.
