Pundareekam Kirana Store

Pundareekam Kirana Store is right there on the Main Road in Jogipet, specifically at Plot No. 8-71-9. Being so close to the bus stop means we see a lot of people coming and going all day long. Some people just pop in for a quick bottle of water while they wait for their ride, while others do their full weekly shopping here. It gets quite hectic during the morning rush when everyone is trying to get somewhere. The shelves are packed with dal, spices, sugar, and all the usual things you would expect in a kirana shop. We have a small stool behind the counter where I sit when things quiet down, but that doesn't happen very often during the week. The noise from the buses and the honking can be a bit much, but you get used to it after a few months of working here. We try to keep the shop organized, but things tend to get moved around when customers are in a hurry to catch their bus. It is a family-run operation, so you might see my nephew helping out after his classes are over. We don't have any fancy signs or advertisements. People know where we are because we've been at this spot for years. It is just a straightforward place to get your groceries without any hassle or long lines. We do our best to keep the prices fair for the neighbors and the travelers. It’s just us, the shop, and the constant sound of the Jogipet traffic every single day.
