Karene Bhoomamma

Up in Lingampally village, life moves at its own pace. Karene Bhoomamma is tucked away at house 2-98, and it’s been that way for as long as most people can remember. It’s a small operation in Pulkal, and we don’t really do much in the way of big city business. Most of the people who stop by are neighbors or people from the next village over. We spend our days mostly just handling the basic stuff that needs doing. There’s no big sign or flashing lights, just a place where you can find us most days of the week. The building itself is simple, just like the work we do. Sometimes it gets a bit quiet when the farming season is busy, and other times people are dropping in all day long to chat or get something they need. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know everyone’s name and what they usually come in for. It’s the kind of place where you sit down for a minute and catch up on the local news while you wait. We’ve stayed in this spot because it’s where we belong, and the community here knows they can find us if they need anything. It’s not fancy, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us and the people who live around here. We’re just happy to be a part of the village life and keep things going.
