Chandrala Saree Center

Our shop is located at 9-196 in Subhash Nagar, right here in the town of Siddipet. It is a local place where we spend most of our time surrounded by big piles of colorful cloth. If you walked in today, you would see sarees stacked up everywhere on the shelves and counters. Keeping them all folded and in the right place is a full-time job on its own. Siddipet is a nice enough place to work, and Subhash Nagar has a lot of people walking through every day. We do not really have any big fancy displays like the massive shops you see in the city. It is mostly just us showing the fabric to whoever comes in and chatting with them for a bit. Some days are very quiet and we just sit and wait, maybe reorganize the shelves one more time. Other days, especially during the big festivals, it gets so crowded in here we can hardly move around. We do not have a large team, just a couple of us who know exactly where everything is kept. The lighting in the shop isn't great, but it works well enough for people to see the colors. We have been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. It is a simple business, really. We buy the stock and we try to sell it to the local people who live nearby.
