Balaji Kiranam Stores

Balaji Kiranam Stores is right at 208/14 on the Main Road, very close to the bus stand in Medak. Being so near the bus stand means we see a lot of travelers as well as the locals who live around here. It’s a busy spot, and there’s always someone coming or going. We keep a variety of kirana items, the sort of things you’d expect in a neighborhood shop. Rice, oils, pulses, and soaps fill up most of our shelves. The shop is usually humming with the sound of the traffic outside. We have a lot of regular customers who stop by after work or before they catch their bus home. It keeps us on our toes. The space is filled with the smell of different spices and grains. We don’t have a lot of room for fancy layouts, so we just stack things where they fit. Sometimes the bags of sugar or flour sit near the entrance to make it easier to load them for people. Medak is a nice place to work, even if it gets very hot in the summer months. We just keep the fan running and keep serving whoever walks through the door. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we take pride in knowing where everything is, even when the shop is packed. There’s no big secret to how we do it, just showing up and making sure people get what they came for. Sometimes the rain leaks a bit near the back, but we just move the bags.
