Shalini Pharmaceutical Research Lab

Our lab is located in Ghulewadi, right near the Pune Nashik Highway. You can hear the traffic from the main road all day long if the windows are open. It is a bit of a tucked-away spot, which suits us since we do research and need a bit of a steady environment. Shalini Pharmaceutical Research Lab isn't a massive place with glass walls; it’s more of a practical working space where we spend our hours looking at samples and keeping records. We have been in Ghulewadi for a while now. The building is sturdy and does what we need it to do. Most days are spent in white coats, just going through the protocols we have used for years. It isn’t glamorous work. It involves a lot of sitting and waiting for results or cleaning up the equipment. We buy our tea from the small shop down the road near the highway when we need a break. The neighborhood is mostly quiet apart from the trucks passing by to Pune or Nashik. We try to keep our lab tidy, but there is always a stack of papers or a box of supplies somewhere. It feels like a real workplace because it is. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just doing the pharmaceutical work that needs doing every single day. It can be tedious but someone has to stay focused on the details to get the right results at the end of the day.
