You can find Leena Engineers Fabricators right on the Pune-Nasik Highway Road. We are at Plot No 66 in the Midc area. Being right by the highway means there is always traffic going by. The dust gets everywhere, so we are constantly sweeping the shop floor. We do a lot of metal work and welding. It’s loud and there are sparks flying most of the day. My brother and I started this after working for a bigger firm for ten years. We decided we wanted to do things our own way. We have a couple of lathes and some welding sets that have seen better days but still do the job. Sometimes we stay late when a big order comes in. The highway noise never really stops, even at night. We don't have a secretary, so when the phone rings, whoever is closest to the office picks it up. Usually, our hands are covered in grease or iron filings. It’s honest work. We don't do much advertising. Most of our customers are just people driving by or other shops in the Midc who know we can fix things they can't. The sign out front is a bit faded from the sun, but you can still read it. We take a lunch break at the little stall down the road. It’s a simple life but it keeps the lights on and the machines running most days.
