Lakshmi Venka College

Located right on the Main Road in Kudligi, our college is a familiar sight for anyone traveling through this part of Bellary. It is a straightforward place where the routine doesn't change much from year to year. The building sits close to the road, so there is always a bit of noise from the passing buses and trucks. Students come from the surrounding villages, often arriving on the early morning buses to make it to their first classes. The campus isn't overly large, but it has enough room for everyone to gather between lectures. You will often see groups of students sitting under the shade of the trees out front, looking over their notes or just talking about their weekend plans. The office is usually busy with paperwork and people asking about hall tickets or scholarship forms. We try to keep the administrative side of things moving along, though sometimes the lines get long and the paperwork piles up. The classrooms are basic with wooden benches and plenty of windows to let in the air. It gets quite warm in this region, so the breeze is always welcome. Most of the staff have been here for a while and know the local families well. We don't go in for anything too flashy or modern. It is just a place for young people in Kudligi to come and get their degrees so they can figure out what they want to do next with their lives.
