This is Plant VI out in Sanand-II at the GIDC. Our specific spot is Plot No. Av-27, not too far from Bol Village. It’s a big industrial area, so there are factories all around us and lots of trucks moving in and out of the Bol Industrial Estate. Inside the plant, it’s mostly the sound of machines and people in uniform moving around. It’s a long way for some of us to travel every morning, but once you’re here, the day goes by pretty fast. We are making parts for the auto industry, so there’s always a schedule to stick to and things to check. It’s a bit dusty outside because of all the construction and the dry ground in this part of Gujarat. We have a small canteen where we all sit and have our lunch together. It’s not a quiet place, but you get used to the hum of the equipment after a while. Most of us have been working here since the plant opened, so we know the routines pretty well. We don't have a lot of visitors, mostly just delivery drivers and people coming for meetings. It’s practical work, and we try to keep things organized even when it gets busy. The sun really beats down on the metal roofs here in the summer, making it quite warm inside the warehouse sections. We just focus on the daily output and making sure the machines are running.
