This place is located out at Plot No. Sm 42 in the Bol Gidc area. We are right on the Sanand-Viramgam Highway, which is a very busy road with lots of trucks moving all day and night. Motherson Automotive Technologies And Engineering is a big site, much larger than the small shops you find in the city. There is a lot of activity here every single day. Shifts change, trucks arrive with raw materials, and finished parts go out to various places. It’s a very industrial environment. We have a lot of people working here in different sections. It can be quite loud with all the heavy machinery running at once. The sun really beats down on this part of Sanand, so the concrete in the yard gets very hot. We have a canteen where everyone gets their lunch and takes a short break from the noise. It's a serious place of work, but we still have a laugh now and then during the tea breaks. Managing everything on such a big plot takes a lot of walking around. I usually wear out my shoes pretty fast here. We don't really get walk-in customers since we deal with big industrial orders, but there is always someone at the main gate checking people in. It’s a long way from the main city of Ahmedabad, so many of us commute quite a distance to get here. It’s just how the industrial life is. We keep the machines running and try to hit the daily numbers.
