Utkal Rice Mill

Over at Utkal Rice Mill, things are always moving. We are located in S. Padampur, which is in the Bargarh district. If you’ve been to Bargarh, you know it’s rice country. Our mill is right there where the action is. The sound of the machines is something you get used to after a while. It’s loud and there is always a bit of dust in the air, but that’s just how a rice mill works. We spend our days making sure the grain is processed. It is a lot of hard work. The weather in Padampur can get really hot, especially during the harvest season. That’s when we are the busiest. We have a lot of local folks working with us. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just mill the rice and send it out to whoever needs it. The building itself is sturdy and has been part of the landscape for a bit.
