Thermax Ltd

Up in Orissa, we have this small office in Sambalpur. The zip code is 768016. Sambalpur is a place with a lot of history and it’s a bit quieter than the coastal cities. Our building is near the main road but far enough back that we don't get all the dust. It’s a simple brick building with a few rooms. We have a couple of desks and some metal cupboards where we keep the old Thermax Ltd files. The walls are a pale yellow color that’s faded over the years. We spend a lot of time here just working through the tasks. In the summers, it gets incredibly hot, so we usually have a big desert cooler running that makes a lot of noise. It makes it hard to hear on the phone sometimes. We have a small yard out front where a couple of local cats hang out. They usually wait for us to give them some scraps. It’s a very low-key environment. We don't have any polished presentations or marketing materials lying around. It’s just a place where we come to do the work. The people who work here are mostly locals who have been around for a long time. It feels like a small community inside these four walls. We just keep things moving at our own pace every day.
