Our shop is in Ainthapali, over in the Sambalpur district. We are situated right near the Private Bus Stand. Because of the buses, there are always people walking past our door and plenty of noise from the engines and the conductors calling out destinations. It is a very lively part of town to be in. We keep our stock here and manage everything from a small counter in the front. The agency has been in this location for quite some time now. Sambalpur can get incredibly hot, so the afternoons are usually a bit slower when people stay indoors. We spend that time catching up on our logs or reorganizing the shelves. Being near the bus stand means we get all kinds of people dropping in to ask for directions or just to look around. We don't do anything fancy with the decor. It is just a regular shop with shelves and a place to sit. We know the regular drivers and the other shopkeepers in Ainthapali. It’s a close-knit community in this part of the city. We don't have a big mission statement or anything. We just open up in the morning, do our business, and head home when the sun goes down. It's a steady rhythm that works for us. The buses keep the energy high and there is never a dull moment. Sometimes the crowd gets a bit much, but that’s just life near a station.
