We are set up in the Sabat Complex, which is right on N.H-6 in Ainthapali. If you know Sambalpur, you probably know where the P.O. Budharaja area is. We’ve got our design space here where we spend most of our time sketching and looking at different materials for interiors. It’s a bit of a chaotic space sometimes because we have samples of wood, fabric, and tiles everywhere. You can’t really do design work in a perfectly clean room, or at least we can't. There’s always a tape measure sitting around or some sketches pinned to the wall. We spend a lot of time talking to people about their homes or offices. Everyone has a different idea of what they want, so we spend a lot of hours just listening and trying to figure out how to make it work in their space. Being near the highway makes it convenient for us to head out to job sites around Orissa. We move around a lot, so the office is sometimes empty during the afternoons. When we are here, we’re usually deep in a project or arguing over a specific color shade. It’s honest work. We don’t use a lot of fancy software for every little thing; sometimes a pencil and paper are just better for getting an idea down before we start the actual building and decorating process.
