L & T Ecc Division

We are located in the Officers Colony over in Burla. It’s a quiet part of Sambalpur. Being at Qr No-C-1 makes it feel different from a typical office. It’s an older residential area with lots of trees around. L & T Ecc Division uses this spot for the local engineering coordination. We work closely with Er. Ananta Meher here. The rooms are filled with blueprints and thick binders full of regulations. It’s not the kind of place where you’d see a lot of fancy furniture. We have simple wooden tables and chairs that have been around for years. The ceiling fans hum all day long to keep the Orissa heat away. We usually start early before it gets too hot. Most of the staff live nearby, so we all know each other well. We don't really do big announcements or anything like that. We just look at the schedules and make sure things are moving at the construction sites nearby. Sometimes the mail is late or the phone lines act up during the monsoon, but we manage. It’s a steady pace here. We like the quiet of Burla compared to the bigger cities. It helps us focus on the numbers and the plans we have to check. There is always a lot to do, but we take it one step at a time without much fuss.
