Kusum Bamboo Products

Kusum Bamboo Products is based out in Village Kota Pokhari. Our mail goes to the Khalisahi post office. It’s a quiet area, far away from the noise of the big cities. We work with bamboo because it’s what we have around us. The village life is slow and steady, and our business reflects that. We aren't in a hurry to grow into some huge corporation. We just like making things that people can use in their daily lives. Most of the people working here are from right here in the village. We’ve known each other since we were kids. Our workspace is mostly open air so we can catch the breeze. It gets hot during the summer, but we manage. We make all sorts of things out of bamboo, depending on what people are asking for. Sometimes we have a lot of stock, and other times we are working hard to catch up on orders. Visitors don't come by very often because we are a bit out of the way. When they do, we usually have a bit of time to sit and talk. It’s a simple way of living and working. It feels good to see the things we make being used by others, even if it's just a small shop in Kota Pokhari. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure things are done right for the folks who buy from us. It's a quiet life here but we like it.
