About Export – Architect, Interior & Structural Design in Sambalpur
This place in Haspur Hama is where we handle all the shipping and moving of goods. It’s not a very complicated setup, just a lot of boxes and tape and keeping track of where everything is going. We started out small and stayed that way because it’s easier to manage. The building is old and the roof leaks a little when it rains hard, so we have to be careful where we stack the inventory. Most days it’s just us and the sound of the packing tape being pulled. We don't have any fancy software, just a few ledgers and a lot of memory. The local drivers know where we are, even though Haspur Hama isn’t exactly on the main map for most people. We deal with all kinds of items depending on the week. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking tea, and other days we can't move for all the crates. We aren't trying to be the biggest outfit around, just trying to do the job right so the customers come back. It’s a lot of lifting and carrying, which keeps us in shape I suppose. The air is usually full of the smell of cardboard and old wood. We just keep our heads down and make sure the labels are on straight before the trucks show up in the morning. It's just a job that needs doing every single day.
