Shantisewak Foundation

Shantisewak Foundation is tucked away in the village of Gohibishunpur Lokhmi. Specifically, we are in Tola Gohi, which is part of the Warisnagar area. You can find us care of Ramsewak Thakur. It’s a very rural spot, and that’s where we like to be. Most of us here are local people who grew up in these fields and narrow lanes. We didn't want to go to the big city to start something. We thought it was better to stay here in the village and see what we could do for our own neighbors. It’s a modest setup. There’s no big glass office or fancy reception desk. Usually, it's just a few of us sitting around a table figuring out the next steps for whatever project we have going on. Life in Warisnagar moves at its own pace. Sometimes things take longer than they would in Patna or Darbhanga, but we don't mind. We're used to the way things work here. The foundation is named Shantisewak because it felt right, but we don't spend much time worrying about branding. We're more concerned with making sure we are doing something practical. We've had our share of mistakes and learning curves along the way. That’s part of the process when you're starting from scratch in a small village. We’re just glad to have a roof over our heads and some work to do. We keep things simple and honest here every single day.
