Sfnl Nidhi Limited is based in the village of Ghoshrama, which sits right in the middle of the Darbhanga and Samastipur area. The office is located near the Ghoshrama police station, so it is a spot that everyone knows well. It’s a rural setting, so things are pretty laid back compared to the city. We don’t have a fancy building or shiny signs. Our office is just a plain, functional space where we keep our ledgers and meet with the local villagers. People from Ghoshrama and the surrounding VPO areas come to us because we are close by and easy to talk to. We don't use any confusing financial jargon. We just sit down with a cup of chai and explain how the savings work or what the rules are for a small loan. It’s about helping the community grow a little bit at a time. The office can get a bit dusty when the wind blows across the fields, but that’s just part of living here. We don't mind the simple surroundings because they match the lives of the people we serve. We are just local residents who decided to set up a place for mutual benefit right here in the village. It saves everyone the long trip into Darbhanga just for basic money matters.
