Chandresh General Store

Chandresh General Store has been a part of Kalyanpur Chowk for a long time. We are situated right near Sn High School, so we get a lot of noise from the students every day. It is a small shop, but we try to keep it stocked with everything a household might need. You will find soap, flour, lentils, and plenty of stationery for the school kids. The shelves are quite crowded, and sometimes you have to wait a minute while I find what you are looking for. We don't have those fancy automated checkout lines. We just count everything up and tell you the total. Many of our customers have been coming here for decades. We know their names and what they usually buy. If someone forgot their wallet, we don't mind if they pay us the next day. That is how things are done in a local neighborhood like ours. The traffic at the chowk can be a bit much, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. But we are used to it by now. My family helps me run the place, so there is usually someone here from morning until late at night. We don't have any big plans to expand or become a supermarket. We are happy just being the local store where people can get their daily supplies. It is a simple life, but it keeps us connected to the community.
