Harhar Bhole Seva Sansthan Foundation

Our foundation, Harhar Bhole Seva Sansthan, is located in the Bharwari area, specifically in Hanuman Nagar village within the Rosera block of Samastipur. We operate out of the home of Ram Pavitra Jha. It is not a formal office building, just a regular house where we meet and talk about what the village needs. Being in a rural part of Bihar, we see a lot of things that could be better. We aren't some big NGO from a city with lots of money. We are just local people who decided to pool our resources and time. Most of our work is about service, or seva as we call it. This might mean helping someone get medical attention or making sure a family has enough to eat during the lean months. The monsoon season is always a bit tricky because the roads get bad, but we still try to get around and check on everyone. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just think that if you live in a place, you should try to make it a little bit better for everyone who lives there with you. People drop by at all hours of the day. We sit on the porch, have a glass of water, and talk about the problems. It is a very slow and simple way of doing things, but it works for our community here in Samastipur. We do what we can.
