Moti Ram Munna Lal & Sons Rice Mills

Our place, Moti Ram Munna Lal & Sons Rice Mills, is tucked away at Plot No. 222/6 near the Rohati Bridge. We are right by the old Nabha Gate and Nai Abadi Cinema Road. It’s a bit of a crowded area with the cinema nearby, so there is always something going on outside our doors. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and the name on the front has been there for generations. It’s a family thing. My brothers and I take turns watching the scales and making sure the loading goes okay. The building is old and has its quirks, like the door that sticks in the winter. We don’t mind it much. It’s home for us. We handle a lot of foot traffic because of the location. People stop by to chat or check on things. It gets loud with the mill running and the traffic from the bridge, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't trying to be the biggest mill around, just trying to do right by the name our grandfather put up. There is always a lot of dust in the air, but that’s just how it is with rice. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, it can get a little messy. We just do our best to keep moving. It is just the way we have always done it.
