H.R. In Vardhman Special Steel

We are based out of Nabha, specifically over on Street Number 3. If you’ve ever been through this part of Punjab, you know it’s got its own pace. Our office is at 5/214, and it’s a pretty standard setup for the area. We’ve been operating here for a while, dealing with the HR side of things for the Vardhman steel works. It’s not the most exciting work, but someone has to keep the records straight and manage the people coming through. The street can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but we’re used to it. Most of the folks working here are locals from around the district. We don’t have a big lobby or a receptionist; you just walk in and someone will be at a desk to help you. We keep the chai kettle going most of the day, especially in the winter when it gets really cold in these brick buildings. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in what we do, and we spend a good chunk of our time just sorting through files and making sure the payroll is right. It’s a quiet life for the most part, away from the big cities like Ludhiana or Patiala. We just take it one day at a time, making sure everyone gets what they need without making a big deal out of it. We don't have much to show off, just the work and the daily routine.
