Anand Rice Mill

We are located in Village Glbdi, which is part of the Nabha Taluka. If you’re driving down the Lair Kotla Road, you’ll eventually find the turn-off that leads to the Post Office Nabha area. It’s a quiet village setting for the most part, surrounded by fields that change color with the seasons. The mill sits on a decent bit of land where we handle the incoming loads. Working in a village like Glbdi means we are quite connected to the local weather and the harvest cycles. When the rains are heavy, the Lair Kotla Road can get a bit messy, making it slower for the tractors to arrive. We usually start the machines early in the morning before it gets too hot. The noise fills up the space, but outside, it’s mostly just the sound of birds or the occasional motorbike passing by. Our office is just a small room with some old ledgers and a couple of wooden chairs. We don't really do the whole corporate thing here. It’s more about checking the moisture in the grain and making sure the bags are stacked right. Sometimes we sit outside under the shade when things are slow. It’s a simple life out here in the Nabha area, far away from the big city noise. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep things moving along smoothly. It is just what we do every day, year after year.
