Impress Stills

Our shop, Impress Stills, is tucked away in the S-11 Srinivasa Arcade. We are at No 1/2 on Arunachalam Road, which is right near Surya Hospital in Saligramam. It’s a pretty easy place to find if you know where the hospital is. The arcade has a few different businesses, so there’s always people walking around and a bit of noise from the street. Inside our space, we have all our cameras and lights set up. It’s not a huge studio, but it’s enough for what we do. We spend a lot of time looking at photos on screens and trying to get the prints just right. Sometimes the lighting in the office isn't the best, but we make do with what we have. People come in for all sorts of photos, whether it’s for an event or just something they need for work. We aren't really the formal type, so we usually just chat with people while we work. Saligramam is a busy part of town and being on Arunachalam Road means we see a lot of different faces every day. There is always a lot of clicking and the sound of printers running in the background. We’ve been here for a while and the walls are mostly covered with old projects we’ve finished. It’s a bit messy at times with cables and memory cards lying around, but we know where everything is. It’s just how we work and how things get finished.
