Vpm Travels

Vpm Travels is right on the Sankari Main Road in the Nethimedu area of Salem. Being on such a major road means we see a lot of traffic passing by all day long. It’s noisy and dusty, but it’s a great place to be if you’re in the travel business. We have our small office here where we keep track of everything. It’s not very big, just a desk and a couple of chairs for when customers come in to talk about their travel plans. We spend a lot of time on the phone with drivers, checking where they are and if they’ve finished their last drop. The traffic on Sankari Main Road can be unpredictable, so we are always adjusting our timing. We don’t have any slick marketing or a big sales team. It’s just a few of us making sure the vehicles are in decent shape and that we have enough fuel for the day’s trips. We handle a lot of different requests, from people needing a quick ride to the other side of town to families wanting to go on a longer trip for a few days. We just take things as they come. Some days are incredibly hectic with everyone wanting a car at the same time, and other days we just sit and watch the trucks go by on the main road. It’s a simple life running this travel desk in Nethimedu. We stay until the last car is back, then we lock up and head home.
