Ttm Earth Movers

Down on Idappadi Road in Thevur, we have our spot at number 82. Earth movers are big machines and they take up a lot of room in our yard. Most of our time is spent looking at engines or talking to drivers who come through the gate. The road outside can get quite dusty when the wind picks up in the afternoons. Ttm Earth Movers isn't a shiny office. It’s more of a yard with some rooms for the paperwork and spare parts. We have grease on our hands most days. The sun beats down on the machines parked out front. We keep an eye on the clock but usually, the work dictates when we leave for the day. Thevur is a quiet enough place except for the heavy traffic on the main road. We know the machines inside out. If something breaks, we find out why and handle it. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We move dirt and we handle the equipment that does it. It’s heavy work and it’s honest. We’ve been at this location for a while now. People know us by the yellow machines near the 82 marker. It’s not a complicated setup. We just keep the engines running and make sure the schedules are met. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a mess, but that’s just part of the job. You just have to wear boots and keep going until the work is finished.
