Our office is located in the Salem Industrial Co-op Estate, specifically in the C1 unit at Udayapatty. Being inside an industrial estate means it is never really quiet. There is always the sound of machinery or trucks idling nearby. Thangam 5G Exim Private Limited is a small setup compared to some of the huge factories around us. We focus on the export and import side of things, so our unit is mostly used for office work and some small-scale storage. The "5G" in our name is just something we liked; it doesn't mean anything too technical. The Salem heat can be quite something, especially in an industrial area with lots of concrete. We have a basic setup with a couple of computers and some chairs for visitors. Most of our work is done over the phone or through messages, coordinating with suppliers and buyers. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us at our desks surrounded by files. It’s a very practical environment. We have been in Udayapatty for some time now and know the other business owners in the estate. We don't spend money on big advertisements or polished websites. We just do our job and make sure the trade keeps moving smoothly. It’s a regular day-to-day operation where we try to stay organized and keep up with the demands of the export market. There's always coffee in the pot and a lot of work to get through.
