Studio AJ

Studio AJ is based at No 1, Tex Park. Our address is a bit confusing because it mentions the Civil Aerodrome Post for Coimbatore, but we are actually located in Peramanur, Salem. We are right near the Cluny Matric Higher Secondary School. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, except when school lets out. Our studio is a small, creative space where we spend a lot of time thinking about designs and how to make buildings work better. It’s not a corporate office with cubicles. Instead, it’s just an open room with a lot of sketches and ideas pinned to the walls. We are a small team and we like to keep things very informal. When people come to see us, we usually just sit around a table and have a chat about what they’re looking for. We don't have a polished sales pitch. We just show what we’ve done before and talk honestly about what we can do for them. Working in Salem is nice because you get to know everyone in the trade. We have our favorite suppliers and craftsmen who help us bring our ideas to life. It’s a lot of back-and-forth and sometimes things get a bit stressful when deadlines are close, but we manage. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure our clients end up with a space they actually like.
