Sri Venkateswaras Travels

We are situated on Dr Subbarayan Road, very close to the Salem Railway Station. It is a convenient spot because so many people are coming and going from the trains all the time. Laxmi Hostel is right nearby too, so we get a lot of students and travelers asking for directions or a ride. Sri Venkateswaras Travels is just a local business we started to help people with their transport needs. Being so close to the station means we are busy at odd hours. Sometimes the trains are late and we have to wait around. We don't mind. The office is just a small room where we keep our keys and records. We have a few drivers who know the Salem 636001 area very well. We don't do anything too complicated. If you need to go somewhere, we check who is free and send a car. It is a lot of work keeping the vehicles running in this heat. We spend a lot of time on maintenance. The road outside can be quite loud with the station noise, but we are used to it by now. It is a practical business. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just provide a way for people to get from the station to their homes or hotels. It is a decent way to spend the day, talking to travelers from all over.
