Sri Ramana Travels

Out here in Shevapet, things move pretty fast. We are Sri Ramana Travels, situated on Muthunaickenpatti Main Road. Our place is really close to the old MGR Statue, which is a big landmark for everyone around here. Being in this part of Salem means there is always a lot of traffic and noise, but we are used to it by now. We spend a lot of our time just coordinating with drivers on the phone. Sometimes the roads are blocked for some local festival, and we have to figure out a different way around. It’s a lot of juggling. The office is small, just enough space for a few chairs and the main desk where we keep the records. We handle a lot of local trips for people going to the markets or the station. It’s not a fancy setup, but it’s where we’ve been for years. Most of our customers are folks from the neighborhood who know us by name. We don't bother with big ads or anything. We just keep the vehicles ready and wait for the phone to ring. Sometimes we have long days when many people want to travel at once, and other days are just about cleaning the floors and checking the engines. It is just a regular local business trying to stay on top of the daily schedule in Shevapet. We like being near the statue, it makes it easy for people to find us. We just sit here and wait for the next job to come through the door.
