Sri Batharakaliamman Travels

We have been operating out of the spot right behind the Mettur Dam bus stand for quite a while now. Sri Batharakaliamman Travels is just a small local setup here in Salem. Most people find us because they are already at the station and need to get somewhere else quickly. It is a busy area. We have a few vehicles and we try to keep things running on time as much as possible. Sometimes the traffic near the dam gets really bad, but that is just how it is here. My brother and I usually handle the bookings ourselves. We do not have a big office, just a simple desk where we keep the paper logs. People come in, ask for a rate, and we see if we have a driver available. It is mostly locals or people visiting the dam for the weekend. We know the roads around Salem pretty well. If you are looking for us, just walk past the main platform and look for our sign. It is nothing fancy. We just focus on getting the job done without too much fuss. The weather gets very hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going in the small cabin. We have seen a lot of changes at the bus stand over the years, but we are still in the same spot. It is a decent living. We do not do much advertising, just word of mouth mostly.
