We are out here in Manmangalam, specifically in the SIDCO area of Authur Village. Being in an industrial estate means things are always moving around us with trucks and workers everywhere. The units 611 and 612 are where we spend our days and nights. It gets a bit dusty and the heat can be something else during the summer, but that is just how it is in this part of Tamil Nadu. Shragvee Fabtex is an LLP, so it is a partnership between a few of us who know the trade. We deal with fabrics mostly. The machines can be quite noisy when they are running full tilt on a deadline. We do not have a fancy reception area or a waiting room with magazines. If someone stops by to see us, they usually just find us on the floor checking the fabric rolls or looking over the latest batch of textiles. It is a lot of manual work and making sure the thread counts are what they should be. We have been at this spot for a good while now. The local tea shop right down the road is where we usually take our small breaks to get away from the noise. It is a very straightforward setup with no frills. No one wears suits or formal clothes here. We just wear what is comfortable for moving around a warehouse all day. Manmangalam is not the biggest place, but being in SIDCO helps us get things out on time.
