Selvi Stores

Selvi Stores is situated at 15, right near the Sri Sri Radha Gokulananda Temple in Salem. Being so close to the temple means we see a lot of people who are coming for prayers or just visiting the area. We keep a lot of items that people might need for their offerings, but we also have the usual stuff like pens, notebooks, and snacks for the kids. Salem can get really hot, so we always try to keep the cold drinks stocked up in the fridge. My sister and I run the place together, taking turns so one of us can go home and cook. It’s a friendly spot, and because of the temple, the atmosphere is usually quite peaceful even when the street is busy. We’ve had this shop at number 15 for a few years now. We know the regular devotees who come every Friday. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if there is a festival or a special event at the temple. The inventory is always changing based on what people are asking for lately. It’s not a fancy store by any means, just a simple counter and shelves filled with whatever we think will sell. We like being part of the temple community and seeing the different people who walk through our doors every single day. It’s a steady life and we’re happy with it.
