Satsen Exports Imports

We are out here in Ammampalayam, right near the post office in Attur. Satsen Exports Imports is our little operation. We handle stuff coming in and going out of the area. It's a lot of boxes and looking at labels all day long. The warehouse isn't huge but we make it work with what we have. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers and different agents. It's not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of dust from the road that blows in through the doors. We have a small office tucked in the corner of the building. My desk is usually covered in receipts and shipping notes. We started small, just moving local goods for neighbors, but now we do a bit more. It's mostly family running the place. We know the truck drivers who come through here often. They usually stop for a quick chat or a glass of water. The weather gets really hot in Attur, so we try to get the heavy loading done early in the morning before the sun is too high. We don't have a big marketing budget or even a fancy sign. Just a board with the name painted on it. It’s about getting things from one place to another without too much trouble. Sometimes things get delayed at the port and we just have to wait. That’s just part of the business. We don't promise anything crazy.
