Salem Polyclinic

Salem Polyclinic is at 250 Omalur Road, which is a pretty well-known stretch in town. The building is older but it holds up well. We have people coming in all day long for different things since it’s a polyclinic. One person might be here for a checkup and the next person needs something else entirely. It keeps the day interesting. The hallway is narrow and we have to move around each other quite a bit. There’s a tea stall not far away where most of the guys go during their breaks. Omalur Road always has plenty of buses and cars, so it’s never really quiet outside. You get used to the honking after a while. We don’t have a big fancy lobby with waterfalls or anything like that. Just some plastic chairs and a counter where you sign in. The files are stacked up behind the desk because we still like having things on paper. Sometimes the doctors are running late because of the traffic on the way from their other clinics. We just tell people to have a seat and wait. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we’ve been here at number 250 for a long time. People in Salem just know us as the place on the main road. We don't do much advertising, word of mouth usually does the job for us around here.
